“Make me believe / No more left and right / Come on, take my side / I’m fighting for you.”
- Foo Fighters, "No Way Back"
Norm started playing guitar at 15 years old. He locked himself away for many, many years, practicing to albums like blink-182’s “The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show” and NoFX’s “War on Errorism.” He played in a few local punk bands before finding his stride in the local cover band scene, where he’s been playing in several bands since 2019.
Norm still cites early pop punk and punk rock as his main influences, everything from Pennywise and Propagandhi to Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance. He occasionally dabbles in some of the harder musical fare, such as Four Year Strong, Deathklok, and Pierce the Veil. Music is Norm’s lifelong addiction, and one that doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.
Of course, Foo Fighters holds a special place in Norm’s heart. Doesn’t every kid learn “Everlong” when they first discover drop-D tuning? He’s read Dave Grohl’s “Storyteller” cover to cover and watches “FRESH POTS!” at least once a month to keep his spirits high. Norm is excited to bring the same passion, energy, and attitude that Dave brings to the stage night after night.
